Of Italian extraction, the lyrical tenor Alessandro grew up in Switzerland. He began his studies under the aegis of opera and concert singer Werner Ernst in Zurich.
In 1995, as an advanced singer, he was accepted for tuition with Ruthilde Boesch in Vienna, the chamber singer best known for assisting Edita Gruberova, coloratura soprano, La prima Donna assoluta to fame. In 1997, Alessandro auditioned with Alexander Pereira, the Director of Zurich Opera House, and, as a result, was awarded a scholarship by the Armin-Weltner-Stiftung for instruction in Vienna. Studies in Vienna from 1995-2002.Alessandro spent 10 Years in Vienna where he lived and studied. Vienna has become his second home.
He took part in several international Singing Competitions and Master Classes by Teresa Berganza, Placido Domingo, Carlo Bergonzi, Nicolai Gedda and others.....
Thanks to his flexibility and openness towards to all kinds of musical styles, he has been able to build a truly wide repertoire. Whether baroque, classical or crossover, Alessandro subjects each and every item to intensive study before performing it on stage. Not surprisingly, thanks to his Italian roots, he specialises in bel canto. But his preferences also extend to the world of Lieder as well as Neapolitan Canzoni, Tango Argentino and Viennese songs, which he brought to perfection during his years in Vienna. “Songs like: Vienna city of my dreams, my mother was a Viennese etc.... it is always a highlight, because people like them and remember them well, especially during New Year.
In autumn 2002, accompanied by musicians from the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, he recorded a CD featuring the rarely performed songs of Charlie Chaplin. The CD was then premiered at a concert with French “Star” singer Patricia Kaas. Concert tours followed. In 2006 his debut CD Amore mio was released. In 2009, Alessandro founded his own production company and label, CID-Production and started from scratch, he took his career in his own hands. CD Release, Visione May 2011.

Alessandro Cipriano. My unconditional love for music.
Life for an artist is a difficult one, especially if you are captured in a system, where your talent is not appreciated at all. Today I speak proudly about my past, my experience and the difficult way I had to go.
Looking back to 1995-2011, I recognize that I always had my visions and deep inside I knew exactly where I wanted to be but years went by with trying more than hard, nevertheless no one really cared. I found myself alone in a cage that glitters on the outside but is rusty if you take a closer look at it. I did grow up in a rich and save country where everything seems to be perfect but things are only shiny at the surface.
But I am not the type of person who hides his soul behind meaningless promises, untrue friendships and I definitely don’t want to betray myself. Even being a small child I always felt that music was my destiny to go. Having many ideas and talent but nobody does show real and mainly not true interest in, can be a frustrating way to go.
But I never let go my true love for the music and what it means to me: my life.
I do believe that if you trust in yourself and your dreams one day they will come true. And so it happened to me: it was autumn 2008 when I met a person being brave enough to make me see in which trapped situation I found myself. And from that day on, things started to change. I rebuilt my confidence and together we left the past behind and successfully brought to daylight what was captured inside of me for so many years. Unbelievably how much time of my life I was suppressed by a system where all what people care is about themselves and where understanding and helping another person is the last on their priority list. But as I said I do believe that dreams can come true.
Today I am a different person and I am stronger than ever before. There are thousands steps to take on everybody’s life journey to reach one’s aim. It doesn’t matter how many steps you make a day, a week or even a year but it matters to follow the direction you have to go resistantly.
In 2008 I took business in my own hands and today I decide whom I work with or not. In my past I met only meaningless people from the business such as managers A&R's, Labels and producers. Today I see everything very clearly, how many people lie and who are only interested in making money. Sometimes I had the feeling that people are just pulling one’s legs. Therefore I am sure; the best way to succeed is being independent, and having matters in your own hands, an advice that was even given to me by some real professional people from the business in London. His Past
Double Burdon over 17 Years. Having everything what a successful artist needs. But the reality has another face. To give up or not to give up, that was the question. In Switzerland if one is not rich and famous what else can you do? That means go for a regular job and forget your dream. If you’re a classical trained tenor, one has to practice every day like an athlete, one has to look after engagements etc. endless gurney! So Alessandro had to work hard during his classic music studies and after he finished the study.
Life in Switzerland is expensive; support was there but not enough. 2010 end of June, he quits his job in order to finally live his dream. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, the Product Alessandro Cipriano was not always what it might look like...To be a Crossover-Classic Artist in Switzerland is almost a sentence of death... All that glitters is not gold!!!

One has to go from one place to another, making auditions where ever you can, presentations, meeting with labels, but nevertheless at the end of the day you are mostly left unsupported. Sometimes people don’t even give you an answer and leave you treated worthless. There is not a lot respect in this business. Months and years go by if you rely on people’s help without succeeding – everybody is more interested in how much money he makes – it is a business, and what an inhuman one!
So take your affairs in your own hands, never give up and follow your true heart and love – your instinct will tell you which way to go. Some doors close others open, the way out to live his dream. He always said, “... one day I’ll be there where I want to be, I am a fighter and finally I gonna hit back...”A dream since he first began singing as a child. Early Years, Childhood - Today
Alessandro was born April 21st 1969 and grew up in Switzerland. 2 month old he was adopted by his loving parents. His adoptive parents are Swiss, but Alessandro’s biological mother was Italian and his biological father German. Growing up in a humble family he learned early in life to stay independent. Alessandros’ real Name is André Alessandro Gloor. Years after, grown up, he wanted to know who he was and what his roots are. Not an easy way to find out. On his old documents is written, Alessandro Bonaiti, which is the name his biological parents gave him. There were not many information around that his adoptive parents could give him. The bio mothers name was Maria Giulia Bonaiti.
Many people always asked him, are you Italian or Spanish – because of the way you look and even when you sing your Italian is so perfect...He could never answer these questions. He really didn’t care about who he was until he reached the age of 18, the time when he begun to study music. It was difficult for him, not knowing who he really was, because he always felt different to other Swiss people. The end result was an identity crisis. But what can one do if one gets no answers: Just keep on fighting in order and hope to succeed or sadly give up.
André was a fighter and he still is. At the age of 30, he contacted an office in Bern (Capital City of Switzerland), but they could not tell him anything more, except that his bio mother has died and his bio father doesn’t want to be contacted. Difficult.....But he never gave up. 3 years later he tried again to contact the adoption office as well as one in Zurich and finally he succeeded. He found out who his biological parents were. His bio father went to an interview and gave them some information and documents. But the best thing was, that he also found three half brothers (one is not around anymore), two half sisters and one biological brother. Unbelievable...after this experience the whole life Andre’s began to change. He changed everything especially his style of music and he changed his artist name to Alessandro Cipriano. But the story goes on...
Alessandro studied in Vienna with the well know chamber singer Ruthilde Boesch (teacher of famous soprano Edita Gruberova) in Vienna, for more than 8 Years.There is a singer with such a gift and talent, best education in Vienna, growing up in a save and rich country like Switzerland but difficult for an artist to succeed, especially in the musical genre crossover/classics. “It was hard sometimes”, he said, “I just want to sing and make people happy. No one ever can imagine what it means to live in a golden cage, with a talent I want to share with the world, and there was almost no way out.” Working with unprofessional and unreliable people in the business made it even more difficult, almost impossible.
In Switzerland people always ask, “and what else you do? What do you do for living” there is now chance that an artist could live from what he is doing...In Cities like Vienna, London, New York, to be an artist, is something very normal and there are never questions, “you’re a singer, how wonderful.”Not taking him for serious somehow, putting obstacles in his way, hard to understand why it never worked out. The beautiful country Switzerland is his home, where his beloved family and friends live who always supported him since he was a child. But Switzerland is not the country for music business so there is no real chance to become an accepted artist.
The story would take too long; Alessandro will be pleased to tell it. Once his teacher Chamber Singer Mrs. Ruthilde Boesch in Vienna said: “I admire your diligence and endurance.” After his study in Vienna Alessandro was ready to start a classical career, he was very good and talented. His teacher told him, now we are ready to put you on the big stage.
On this point we must not forget that Alessandro was tired, ‘cause beside his study in Vienna, he had to work beside all the time, earning money, it took 8 years. He travelled forth and back and had a Job which took 80% of his time. At the beginning of his study he worked till Friday and at night he travelled to Vienna by night train, arrived Saturday in the Morning 8am. His lesson started at 10:30 am. After the lesson he continued to listen to all the other students and worked with the pianist on his voice and repertoire and at night he went back to Zurich by train.
After a year he reduced his job down to 60% and lived in Vienna during the week to be able to extend his hard work on his career. His voice bloomed and he developed very fast, but – let’s not forget – he still has worked beside in Switzerland. He organized his job very well. Double burden for more than 10 Years. He was tired and needed a break. Beside the classical music he always loved the crossover music and he thought to do something else for a short time. He loved the freedom and enjoyed doing something very special. But to do this in Switzerland no way...in the year 2006 he released his first CD Amore Mio (Tyrolis Music), available on Amazon and Alessandro's store.
But this was a disappointing deal, there was no support from the record label at all, just making money and that's it. He had two managers till now who made nothing, booked him for engagements where he earned almost nothing, or he had to pay the pianist. At the end of the day, they did him more harm than helping him in building up his career.
The Change
But three years ago in 2008 things started to change, when he met Mr. Wagner of Wagner Management Int., who believed in him and his talent, a professional coach who took business in hands. Another year of hard work followed, transforming his visions into reality. Professionally coached he began to metamorphose. He knew that he had to start all over again, to leave the old behind. So he decided to change everything, first of all he begun with his name. This product and show is the Vision and Life of Alessandro Cipriano, the end product of a long journey. In 2009, the concept Cipriano was presented to Mr. Chris Craker in London; he believes in Alessandro and supports him in his endeavours.
The conclusion of the story is: Live your dream, never give up, try to focus on your aim and finally, never look back, go straight forward. Important for Alessandro today is: Make no restriction on quality and do not accept any compromises at all. Things will change if you continue to believe in yourself, even if it takes longer, there are ups and downs in everybody’s life, but he was lucky to find someone who took him out of his old behaviour. It’s never too late to do what you want, real artist are no divas, are modest.

No one ever can imagine what it means to live in a golden cage, with a talent I want to share with the world, and there was almost no way out.” Working with unprofessional and unreliable people in the business made it even more difficult, almost impossible.
In Switzerland people always ask, “and what else you do? What do you do for living” there is now chance that an artist could live from what he is doing...In Cities like Vienna, London, New York, to be an artist, is something very normal and there are never questions, “you’re a singer, how wonderful.”Not taking him for serious somehow, putting obstacles in his way, hard to understand why it never worked out. The beautiful country Switzerland is his home, where his beloved family and friends live who always supported him since he was a child. But Switzerland is not the country for music business so there is no real chance to become an accepted artist.
The story would take too long; Alessandro will be pleased to tell it. Once his teacher Chamber Singer Mrs. Ruthilde Boesch in Vienna said: “I admire your diligence and endurance.” After his study in Vienna Alessandro was ready to start a classical career, he was very good and talented. His teacher told him, now we are ready to put you on the big stage.
On this point we must not forget that Alessandro was tired, ‘cause beside his study in Vienna, he had to work beside all the time, earning money, it took 8 years. He travelled forth and back and had a Job which took 80% of his time. At the beginning of his study he worked till Friday and at night he travelled to Vienna by night train, arrived Saturday in the Morning 8am. His lesson started at 10:30 am. After the lesson he continued to listen to all the other students and worked with the pianist on his voice and repertoire and at night he went back to Zurich by train.
After a year he reduced his job down to 60% and lived in Vienna during the week to be able to extend his hard work on his career. His voice bloomed and he developed very fast, but – let’s not forget – he still has worked beside in Switzerland. He organized his job very well. Double burden for more than 10 Years. He was tired and needed a break. Beside the classical music he always loved the crossover music and he thought to do something else for a short time. He loved the freedom and enjoyed doing something very special. But to do this in Switzerland no way...in the year 2006 he released his first CD Amore Mio (Tyrolis Music), available on Amazon and Alessandro's store.
But this was a disappointing deal, there was no support from the record label at all, just making money and that's it. He had two managers till now who made nothing, booked him for engagements where he earned almost nothing, or he had to pay the pianist. At the end of the day, they did him more harm than helping him in building up his career.
The Change
But three years ago in 2008 things started to change, when he met Mr. Wagner of Wagner Management Int., who believed in him and his talent, a professional coach who took business in hands. Another year of hard work followed, transforming his visions into reality. Professionally coached he began to metamorphose. He knew that he had to start all over again, to leave the old behind. So he decided to change everything, first of all he begun with his name. This product and show is the Vision and Life of Alessandro Cipriano, the end product of a long journey. In 2009, the concept Cipriano was presented to Mr. Chris Craker in London; he believes in Alessandro and supports him in his endeavours.
The conclusion of the story is: Live your dream, never give up, try to focus on your aim and finally, never look back, go straight forward. Important for Alessandro today is: Make no restriction on quality and do not accept any compromises at all. Things will change if you continue to believe in yourself, even if it takes longer, there are ups and downs in everybody’s life, but he was lucky to find someone who took him out of his old behaviour. It’s never too late to do what you want, real artist are no divas, are modest.
